Accessing and Initial Setup of the User Portal and Wave (Softphone)

Navigate to the User Portal: https://grandstreampbx.savantgroup.com:8089/
*Only accessible via Savant Corporate network or VPN

  1. If it's your initial login, please click the "Forgot Password?" link to the bottom right of the login fields and follow the instructions below; if not, login and skip to step 2
    1. Enter your extension number (e.g. 1201) as the username and click the "Send Email" button (make sure you keep this tab open as you'll need the code that appears after you click the button)
    2. Navigate to your email inbox and wait for a message from the Grandstream PBX which will include a link to reset your password - click on that button/link
    3. A new tab will open asking for the verification code from the screen in step 1.1. Type in this code as well as your desired new password and a confirmation of that password
      1. If you have trouble with the CAPTCHA verification, click on it to generate a different one
  2. Once logged into the User Portal, use the navigation menu on the left and go to Basic Information > Extensions then click on the "Wave" tab
  3. You'll see a link to the web client or a link to download the Wave app (no known difference in functionality)
    1. The web client opens in a new tab and can immediately be logged into with the same extension number for your username, and password from the User Portal
    2. The Wave app requires you to:
      1. Visit the download page and select the Windows "Win 64 bit" download
      2. Open and run the installer
      3. Specify the Grandstream PBX server to connect to, which is "172.25.0.3" (no quotes), then the same extension number for your username, and password from the User Portal
